Advice to potential student athletes:

“I run a race not to see who is the fastest but to see who has the most guts” – Steve Prefontaine

Weekend Recap

There were 6 Lancer teams in action this past weekend. Men's basketball had a tough weekend facing some big teams when they travelled to Sheridan for the annual Bruin Bash tournament.

Lancer Cross Country team made the trek to Windsor for OCAA Championships at St. Clair. The team showed a lot of heart, braving the strong winds, rain and chilly temperatures.

Both men's and women's volleyball teams came out with wins this weekend when they played the Niagara Knights. Among the Niagara men's team roster was former Lancer volleyball player Derek Warmelink. Both teams will be back in action this weekend when they travel to Fleming Tuesday to play the Fleming Knights, then again this weekend when they play in the Humber Cup tournament at Humber College.

While volleyball played on in the warmth of the Lancerdome, the rugby teams fought it out in the wind, mud, rain and cold. Our girls played a good game, but came up short against St. Lawrence. The men's team kept their streak alive, securing an undefeated record going into this Wednesday's championship game.
